Gifts and Donations
Any regular donation, no matter how small can assist towards a business loan. In Kamuli, Uganda, a bicycle spare parts business was set up for a loan of only £20! Administration fees are paid separately by a group of business people who believe it is important for you to be guaranteed that none of your donations will be used for this, so 100% of everything that is given ends up where it should.

Gift Aid
Making the most of Gift Aid helps the us increase our income from donations and it doesn't cost you a penny. Gift Aid can apply to one-off donations, or donations over a specific period of time.
How it works
For every £1 donated, We can claim 28p extra from the government. On top of this, higher rate taxpayers are eligible to reclaim 23p from the taxman for every £1 donated to charity simply by including details of their donations on their Self Assessment form. So, if you are a higher rate taxpayer, for every £1 you donate, the net cost to you is only 77p, and we receive £1.28.
Leave a Legacy
When making a will you don't have to make a difficult choice between family or charity. You can remember both, giving security to your family and extending your generous support to your chosen cause. Leaving a gift in your will can be a simple and inexpensive step in the will making process. If you already have a will you can simply contact your solicitor to amend it.
If you are making a will for the first time, because it is a legal document we strongly advise you to use a solicitor. If you don't already have one, and you don't know whom you might approach, then contact STEP (Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners) who represent solicitors with experience of handling wills.

In Memoriam Gift
An "in memoriam" gift gives us the chance to support people who are fighting against poverty and suffering, helping them to build a brighter future for themselves and their families. An "in memoriam" gift can be arranged at any time, for example you may choose to make a donation each year to commemorate a loved one's birthday.
